CHASUTA: THE JUNGLE OF CHOCOLATE
There are a thousand reasons to go to Chasuta. Its location makes it a transition point between the high jungle and the Amazon plain. Here the roads end and river transport begins. To know a cocoa plantation and taste its fruit, we can go to Shilcayo Island sailing the Huallaga or to the Pasikiwi Fundo in Chasuta...
In Mishky Cocoa, we will see how this cocoa is transformed into chocolate. Chasuta also has a strong identity and a rich cultural legacy, which is manifested primarily through its ancient pottery, preserved in the Wasichay museum and workshop. In the eighties, with the emergence of plastic, which represented modernity, traditional ceramics almost disappeared. But thanks to Wasichay, who did a rescue and revaluation of local crafts, now has a flourishing future.

LAGUNA AZUL OF SAUCE
Laguna de Sauce, or Laguna Azul, is the most popular tourist destination in Tarapoto. To reach it, since there is no bridge over the Huallaga, the river crossing, the ‘chimbada’, is made on wooden platforms seated on boats. The ascent towards the lagoon offers us beautiful views over the river, in the curve known as the Punta del Gallinazo...
And the arrival in Sauce is spectacular! In Sauce we will have a day of walking and relaxing around the lagoon, stopping at the best beaches for swimming. The Laguna Azul is a beautiful water mirror surrounded by green hills. On the banks of the lagoon the local population is engaged in fishing. Precisely the catches that catch from their canoes are those that will later serve us on the plate; in Sauce the fish is always fresh.

PUMARINRI NIGHTWALK THE JUNGLE OF NIGHT
The activity in the jungle varies throughout the day. We will see most of the birds fly early in the morning and at sunset. Reptiles move in the central hours of the day, when the sun shines most. In contrast, most mammals are active at night...
And of course owls, rodent hunters and nocturnal butterflies. A night walk gives us the chance to see the fauna that best unfolds in the dark. In the Pumarinri we have a high diversity of owls. We can also see some animals lurking, such as arachnids and dart frogs sleeping on the leaves of the plants.
